Jim Woodrow - Relatively Braindead

Looking to the future but we should never forget our past,
I know we all make some mistakes, we scribble in the sand,
but fixing things and learning from the things we got wrong,
the only way we can learn is from this, life lessons are long.

The troubled things we seem to see around us going on,
well most of these are seen because intolerance from beyond,
beyond the things that we control and stop me if I'm wrong,
we all remember being young when not that much was gone.

Well some people had it bad back then, of course they did,
but even some of them fought through and felt some summer sun,
a blanket for the lonely winter, I hope that it was enough,
this old world has a lot of problems, some people had it rough.

Charity starts at home so we can one day end up living well,
Say goodbye to freedom and before you know it, say hello to greed.
Murder, hate and firing guns, shit man please just let me breathe,
I pay my dues but still feel robbed of what I'm allowed to believe.

This is true from both sides of the war, we're looking for an exit,
the wars keeps making screams echo through the years still to come,
making stories flow with hatred for the things we wish we had,
living without a leg to stand on, was that a land mine I just stood on?

Every country feels like it's on the brink, burning orphanage,
Einstein's theory clearly says that it's all relative,
Reactions caused by soldiers from both sides just dying in all this,
Well he was not a soldier, he's still teaching in brainy kids.

They'll send the poor to die like this, even educate them too,
with all the propaganda, lies, lets them use their bloody tools,
every time I wake up under that big orange sun I'm grateful,
this total lack of tolerance would make Einstein feel unstable.
